Esa has been an artist over 40 years. For many years he and his family lived in Northern Ontario Lake Temiskaming District and later at Lake Simcoe. Presently they live in Port Colborne. Over the years Esa has exhibited his art in numerous one-man and group art shows and is still active at art exhibitions. He is an author of books and his designs have been published in many magazines. You can contact Esa for commission work to paint your favourite subject.Esa enjoys teaching and he teaches often. He has taught at several painting conventions, such as HOOT Heart of Ohio Painting, Coast to Coast Creative Arts Convention, NET New England Traditions in Rhode Island and SDP Society of Decorative Painters and their chapters. Esa’s attitude and personality is always of a positive nature, instruction is detailed and assistance is given to each student. Paintings completed in his classes and seminars are achieved with his easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. He teaches a wide variety of subjects and his enthusiasm and love for painting makes him a popular teacher. His students look forward to each new challenge. Esa teaches classes and workshops throughout the country at conventions, special events, private studios, painting guilds and painting chapters. Classes can be arranged for as few as 12 students or as many as 30. Fun to paint with your “paintin’ friends”. Lots of easy to adapt colour worksheets in each book. Learn Esa’s distinctive method of painting North American countryside from the Rockies to Maritimes. He also developed a special leaf stippler with synthetic “bristle” for its spring and durability. You can create beautiful foliage and leaves with his new second generation leaf stippler. With Loew-Cornell brush company he created a specialty brush that is excellent for painting evergreens and other foliage, such as palm trees and ocean waves.
